Praise God for ...

1.      The wonderful schedule that came together for the Tileagd Choir on the American Tour.

2.      The amazing response to Mission Trips for the year and the impact all the summer trips had on the Smiles projects in Romania. Praise and Thanks for 586 scheduled for 2008 and advance bookings already for 2009.

3.      The Gepiu Camp and the impact on the lives of the children as they learn about the relationship they need with God.

4.      Our pastor in Tileagd – Ovidiu Butnaru and his increasing schedule with pastoral work, Children’s & Youth work, the Elderly and the School through Assemblies and Christian Education classes.

5.      The monthly outings for the children and young people of Tileagd Community Church to the mountains to experience God’s Creation.

6.      The ministry of the Emergency Housing Unit for the Homeless and Domestic Abuse cases, that through all the difficult experiences in life, people can come to know God’s Love and Plan for their lives.

7.       The work in Gepiu as they begin a new academic year of helping children learn – for Catalin & Lavinia Bakai and the community that is seeing the Love of Christ in action each day through the work they are undertaking.

8.      The opportunity for so many children to enjoy the safety and loving environment of the Cihei Children’s Centre.

9.      All the Fund-Raising events taking place for support of Smiles projects.

10.  The wonderful generosity of all the Donors supporting the work of Smiles.

Please pray for ...

1.      The team on tour in America, travelling thousands of miles, undertaking many performances to share the work of God in Tileagd and the needs of the new Complex.

2.      All the opportunities presented to us through the Tileagd Community Complex and for the Operational budget needed for School, Kindergarten, Medical Clinic & Church.

3.      The delayed launch of the Dental Care programme in September. 140+ children needing dental attention and lessons in preventative care. Hopefully something will be achieved in October.

4.      The UK Office – as we plan the next tour for The Tileagd Choir of United Kingdom in February ’09 to share the good news of all God is doing through their School and Community.

5.      The work in Salard – as we continue talks with the State office for securing land upon which we can start building a Smiles Housing Village of up to 20 new homes.

6.      The continuing Appeal for Panna Szalo’s Heart Operations. Still £2,100 / $4,200 needed to clear the hospital bills.

7.      The Trustees, Staff and Volunteers of Smiles who work so hard day to day to serve God and those we help in Romania.

8.      The Missionaries – who respond to God’s Call – leaving Home, Family and Friends. Pray especially for their Health & Strength – physically, emotionally and spiritually.

9.      The Staff changes in the UK Office and Romanian projects – that God will enable the new people to take over the responsibilities and take the work to the next level.

10.   That God will reveal Himself to the 1,300 + people we serve in His Name every day in Romania – that through the projects you support, people may come to know the One, True, Living God.

Our prayer is to put Smiles on faces in the Name of Christ.
To help people, especially children, to know they are loved and not forgotten whatever their circumstances.
To share from the bounty God has blessed us with, with those in need of basic shelter, food and love.

Thank you for your prayerful support
